Storage engines and user administration
The course begins with an introduction and comparison of the various storage engines, such as InnoDB and MyISAM. Participants will learn the advantages and disadvantages of each engine and how to choose the right storage engine for their specific requirements. In addition, techniques for managing and optimizing the selected storage engines are taught in order to maximize the performance and reliability of the databases.
Another central component of the subject is user and access control. Students will learn how to create and manage user accounts and assign permissions and roles to make access to databases secure and efficient. Important security aspects are also covered, including the configuration of remote access and the implementation of IP restrictions to prevent unauthorized access and increase database security.
