Play and movement education - Indoor sports games
Playing is the most fundamental form of movement learning for children. In order to create a pleasant learning environment for children and effectively teach movement patterns, there are some basic principles to consider. At the beginning, movement pedagogy according to Hengstenberg is discussed and its holistic approach is highlighted. Important principles of movement pedagogy are illuminated, methodological foundations are discussed, and the functionality of different types of games is addressed. Furthermore, the implementation of games in practice is explored in order to be able to introduce children to various games in the future.
In the second part of the lectures, a variety of indoor games are presented and tried out, in order to have a wide repertoire of games available as a future childrens trainer and to be able to conduct varied, entertaining, and effective game sessions with children.
